Hello.
My name is Christy Keaton. I enjoy the daily challenge of teaching. I am thrilled to be teaching at White Station Elementary School. This is going to be a great year.
A little bit about me:
I grew up in Bartlett. I attended Ellendale Elementary School K-8 and Bolton High School. After graduating from high school, I attended the University of Tennessee at Martin. Then, I moved to Middle Tennessee and taught 1st grade for Maury County Schools. When I decided to pursue a graduate degree, I moved home to Memphis to attend the University of Memphis while teaching 3rd and 6th grades at Holy Rosary. Once my degree was complete, I started looking into employment in the public school system. I taught 3rd grade at Kate Bond Elementary School for five years and then attained a position at Dexter Elementary School where I taught 4th grade for two years and 2nd grade for five years. This is my fourth year at White Station Elementary and 19th year teaching!
My husband and I have been married for 15 years. We have 3 children; an 11 year old boy, a 8 year old girl, and a 6 year old boy. As you can imagine, we are on the go quite a bit. We enjoy being involved in our community and church.
Please do not hesitate to contact me! Also, please do not stress over assignments. Yes, your child's education is extremely important but so is your family time. I am confident that we can find a balance by working together and communicating effectively.
